Exhibition: Winter Kaleidoscope The Ukrainian Institute of Modem Art (UIMA) is pleased to present an exhibition of contemporary crafts available for purchase. A wide array of media will be represented including textiles, graphics, ceramics, and metalwork by local artists and artisans, including those represented in the permanent collection. The work on display will show the current fusion of traditional Ukrainian decorative arts with contemporary methods and visions.
On view will be work by Mikola Bagan, Olena Baranova, Elena Diadenko, Valeriy Didur, Nina Lapchyk, Wasyl Kacurosky, Alexandra Kochman, Erika Komoni, Alexandra Kowerko, Liafia Kuchma, Luba Markewycs, Konstantin Milonadis, Voladymyr Pavlyk, and Valentine Sanina. The Ukrainian institute of Modern Art (UIMA), a not for profit arts organization, was founded in 1971. For over 25 years UIMA has served the local community and greater Chicago area with a program of exhibitions, concerts, lectures and multi-disciplinary events. The programs presented by UIMA are partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
